We just coming off a long weekend and I’m sure a lot of you guys spent your time doing something fun in the sun or maybe you just sat at home for most of the weekend like me watching movies.
I saw this Hacksaw Ridge for the first time this weekend, and I loved it. The movie is based on a true life event during WW2 of a combat medic who refuses to carry a firearm and refuses to take part in any killing. His choice was based on his Christian faith and an event that took place at some point of his life.
Hacksaw Ridge was directed by Mel Gibson (Passion of the Christ) and has a star cast of Andrew Garfield (Spiderman), Vince Vaughn (Dodge ball), Sam Worthington (Avatar). It’s a proper war movie with very good battle scenes that clearly depicts the horrors of a war like WW2. Lots of close combat fighting, explosions, blood and gore but with a very moving story of love, courage and strength behind it all. Mel Gibson delivered on this one again and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
As always, let us know what you think of the movie if you’ve seen it and if you haven’t seen it yet, go and see it and join in the conversation
